These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dot.Doc, operated by BluePin Inc ("BluePin", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Dot.Doc, you agree to these Terms.
Dot.Doc is a real-time collaborative document platform: create and edit rich-text documents together with live presence and comments, track full version history, share documents personally, with your team, with named collaborators, or publicly via a password- and expiry-protected link, and use an optional AI writing assistant.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You're responsible for the content of the documents you create, and for who you share them with. If you make a document public, or share it with a password, you're responsible for keeping that password appropriately protected and for the consequences of the document being accessed by anyone with the link.
Dot.Doc offers an optional AI writing assistant that suggests edits (grammar, summaries, tone, translation, and more) for you to accept or reject. It's a drafting aid — you're responsible for reviewing any AI-suggested change before accepting it into your document.
You agree not to:
Dot.Doc is part of the Dot Ecosystem. If you sign in via another Dot Ecosystem platform, you authorise that platform to hand off a short-lived, single-use authentication token confirming your identity to Dot.Doc.
You may stop using Dot.Doc and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use Dot.Doc in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or the Dot Ecosystem.
Dot.Doc is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Dot.Doc will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any AI-generated suggestion will be accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BluePin Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dot.Doc, including damages arising from a document you created, shared, or relied on.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
